The Kreithof country inn is an ideal base for hikes as well as climbs of the highest difficulty grades in the Lienz Dolomites. To practise you can use the Kreithof climbing facility with about 100 different routes, which is merely a few yards away from our front door.

Mountain bikers, too, get their money’s worth. One of the most popular routes takes you past the Dolomitenhütte to the Karlsbaderhütte (2,216m above sea level) in the heart of the Lienz Dolomites.

Close to our inn there is an army sports club archery round which is roughly 3km long. In summer there are 28 targets and in winter 14, all animal targets made of hardened foam.

If, however, you prefer a more leisurely break, the romantic lake Tristachersee is only 2km away. This lake has something for everyone, regardless of whether you have just completed a strenuous hike, a mountain bike ride or just want to chill out.
